Don’t Drink That Before Bed! Drink This!

It’s easy to only focus on what not to eat before bedtime, but what you drink is also important. These drinks help you get to sleep and will help curb those late night cravings.

Don’t drink green tea, drink herbal tea. Even though tea is less of a stimulant than coffee, there’s still enough caffeine in it to affect your sleep. Go for chamomile or peppermint tea instead to relax before bed. Sleepy Time Teas are a great way to go.

Don’t drink orange juice, drink tart cherry tart juice. Keep in mind that many artificial fruit juices, like orange juice have a high sugar content. Tart cherry juice is the one exception as it contains melatonin. Melatonin is also natural produced by the body to help you get to sleep and stay there.

Don’t drink alcohol, drink warm milk. There is a misconception that alcohol will help put you at ease before bed but, it can make it more difficult for you to sleep or make you restless all night. Instead of alcohol, find your nighttime comfort with a glass of warm milk.

The perfect way to start your morning always begins with getting the proper amount of sleep the night before. Take care of your body and it will take care of you!
