The effects of not sleeping enough can significantly affect your health. Sleep deprivation can be caused by stress, poor time-management, and health conditions.  Also, more often than not; sleep deprivation is caused by sleep disorders.

Some of the consequences of sleep deprivation include decreased alertness, memory and cognitive impairment, and general poor quality of life. If sleep disorders are left untreated, there is an even longer list of potential consequences associated with serious medical illnesses. After risk assessment, education, and treatment; many of the disorders that cause sleep deprivation can be improved. By using the abundant amount of information available these days, increased awareness of chronic sleep deprivation is still the first step towards your well-being.
