It’s still Drowsy Prevention Week and we hope you’ve been collecting those Zzzs!
According to DrowsyDriving.org, fatigued drivers cause 100,000 motor vehicle accidents a year. Did you know that that not sleeping for 18 hours is even equal to having a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.08%, which would earn you a serious ticket and make you more likely to be responsible for a crash?
The National Sleep Foundation is asking you to take the pledge to be safe behind the sleep and never drive while experiencing drowsiness or with the knowledge that you haven’t been sleeping. Check out what you need to know about drowsy driving in this neat info-graphic we found on the very handy tool, Pinterest and commit to the “Drive Alert, Arrive Alive” campaign!
