Taking a nap may be the most effective way to rejuvenate your brain. A new short viral video explains the scientific power of power naps.

During the day we use coffee, energy drinks, and a host of other aids to try and stay awake. But the sleep we are trying to avoid may be what we have missing this whole time. Taking any more than 30-minutes for a nap can actually prove to be non-beneficial. In sleep 10-30 minutes long we only enter the first and second stages of sleeping as opposed to the 4 stages of a deeper sleep. The first 2 stages of sleep are a light sleep that relax you and provide memory consolidation. Waking up from these stages of sleep have shown to increase productivity, creativity, brain function, and in general; feeling less tired.
