Judging how you feel after a night of sleep is a great way to decide if you need to make some changes to your bedtime routine. Recently, The Huffington Post team up with sleep app, Sleep Cycle to find out how users felt when it was time to wake up and greet the day.
Data was collected from more than 1,000 people across the nation between the ages of 18 and 55, as they selected from 3 smiley faces on their smartphones when they opened their eyes. Selecting the green happy face meant the person felt great (score of 1.00), the gray non-expressive face meant they felt okay (score of .5) and the red sad face meant they probably weren’t going to be feel very friendly (score of 0.0).
The happiest people in the morning were revealed to live in Los Angeles, while those on the more grumpier side live in Chicago and New York City.
